Description
Arachidon Potential Unlocker is a new kind of supplement that does exactly what the title implies. It’s designed to help boost muscle mass, improve strength and speed up recovery times.
While it may sound too good to be true it’s actually a very simple product and backed up by various studies (Click here to read for yourself). Arachidonic acid is a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid found in the outer membrane of the body’s cells and is most abundant in the muscles, brain and liver.
Arachidonic acid occurs naturally in foods although the amount of food you would need to consume to get the same as our capsules would be unrealistic for most people. For example an egg has 0.074g of Arachidonic Acid. Our capsules have 500mg which means you would have to consume more than 20 large eggs (1,560 Calories) a day to get the same dose.
What to expect
Muscle Growth and Recovery
Arachidonic acid promotes the repair and growth of muscles by converting into a prostaglandin during and following training. This occurs as whenever you lift weights and cause damage to the muscle cells. The damaged cells signal to the body that they need repairing which triggers a surge of enzymes to the damaged cells. These enzymes cause the muscle cell membranes to release their arachidonic acid. This release then converts the arachidonic acid into localised hormones called Prostaglandins. These are the hormones that regulate the inflammatory process that stimulates the growth and recovery of muscle. This release is also the same inflammatory response which is responsible for the inflammation and pain we experience after training.
Training Plateaus and Overtraining
We’ve given Arachidon the subtitle of “Potential Unlocker” for a very good reason. Through the process explained above, arachidonic acid is the perfect supplement to help you smash through training plateaus. The extra arachidonic acid in your muscle tissue means more released during and after workouts, which means an increase in the prostaglandins which are responsible for muscle growth and recovery. This decreases recovery time meaning overtraining becomes less of a worry in long heavy intense training sessions.
Effects on the brain
Arachidonic acid is one of the most abundant fatty acids found in the brain and is found in similar quantities as DHA. The two account for about 20% of the brains fatty-acid content. Your neurological health literally relies on arachidonic acid. As a result of this there are ongoing studies into whether or not arachidonic acid would be a suitable treatment for the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
Recommended Use
The studies done on Arachidonic acid used 1000mg and 1500mg per day in their tests. The studies showed that 1000mg a day increased energy levels and reduced a specific type of inflammation (Read the findings here).
Another study that focused on strength-trained athletes using either 1500mg per day of Arachidonic acid or a placebo showed that after 8 weeks the Arachidonic acid group had an increase in muscle tissue, strength and peak power (Read the findings here)
Side Effects
As with anything there is always the possibility of adverse effects. If you have a pre-existing inflammatory condition (Arthritis, eczema, diabetes etc) or you suffer from COPD it is best to consult a doctor before taking this product.
If you are worried about potential side effects start with 1 capsules per day to check your tolerance.
